Today, I installed a new theme. Again? Yes, again!
This time, I picked the StudioPres No Sidebar Pro theme. Why?
Well, Brian Gardner, the founder of StudioPress, keeps pushing theme designs without sidebars. Really! Naked themes, basically.
To be honest, I am still not used to that idea. But hey, let’s give it a try!
The No Sidebar theme has a clean white design with an elegant typography. This minimal design is supported by a refreshing red to emphasize mouse actions.
However, I still liked the black and white styling of the Genesis Sample theme, so I definitely wanted to continue with the black and white.
Just as with Sample, I first swapped the white and black and got rid off the red.
After that, I needed to pay a little attention to links, including menu items, and buttons.
It is amazing what you achieve with dashed and solid borders.
The result is even better than the initial design of the Sample theme. But both, entirely black and white theme.
What do you think?

So far, I have published two post over here on wilransz.com. Every single one of them was about a new theme.
I need to do something about that ratio. “Well, you need to post more, Wil.”
Who said that?
